FITTING INSTRUCTIONS- For proper fitment please watch the video going over our 1800 cubic inch backpack. Important notes are below.
To fit the hip belt, users needs to loosen the shoulder straps until the hip belt is in the small of your back. The belt should be at a slight downward angle and the buckle should connect where you would normally connect a pant belt. Tighten the belt so that the top of the hip belt is just above your hip bone. Now tighten the shoulder straps until you feel both the hip belt and shoulder straps are comfortable to your personal preference. The bottom of the shoulder straps (female buckle end) should be several inches below your armpit. Connect the sternum strap between the two shoulder straps. The sternum strap should be approximately 1" below your collar bone. The sternum strap should not be overly tight. It is designed to keep the shoulder straps away from your shoulder joints (toward the center of the clavicle). Adjust the straps at the top of your shoulder straps in order to move the top of the pack toward, or away, from your upper back depending on preference and comfort.
Repeat the above process anytime you load your pack
The internal frame is designed to form with the curve of your spine. Take the internal frame out of your backpack and form it to your personal preference. Note, our frames are built with two aluminum rods, so this process may be taxing and take some strength. This may seem excessive, but the frame protects your back! If you have trouble forming your internal frame let us know.
