Shimano Curado BFS Casting Reel

A · Shimano Curado BFS Casting Reel
Left-hand small-bait bass BFS with verified thin braid or light fluoro.

B · Shimano Calutta Conquest BFS 23
Left-hand BFS anglers who want a round Shimano and plan around the stated light-fluoro spool guidance.

A
175 g / 6.2 oz · 8.2 ratio · 32 in / 82 cm per turn · PowerPro 15 lb / 45 yd (US); fluorocarbon 8 lb / 45 m (international)

B
195 g · 7.8 ratio · 71 cm per turn · Fluorocarbon 6 or 8 lb / 45 m; Shimano Japan lists fluorocarbon only and no more than 45 m

A · FEEL
A light-line, low-profile BFS reel whose FTB brake keeps the brake unit off the shallow spool; quick pickup without pretending it is a 70-size all-rounder.
TRADEOFF
Its shallow line load is deliberately limited; it is not a deeper 70/150-capacity caster.

B · FEEL
A compact round BFS reel with a more substantial 195 g body than the 175 g low-profile Curado.
TRADEOFF
It costs $264 more and weighs 20 g more than Curado LEFT; Shimano calls the thin spool fluoro-only, 6/8 lb to 45 m. Appropriately thin braid is YELLOW advanced/outside maker guidance, not GREEN.

A · Shimano Curado BFS Casting Reel
Right-hand bass BFS with verified thin braid or a verified light-fluoro setup.

B · Shimano Aldebaran BFS Casting Reel
Right-hand, low-mass BFS built around 6–8 lb straight fluoro where the rod allows it.

A
175 g / 6.2 oz · 8.2 ratio · 32 in / 82 cm per turn · PowerPro 15 lb / 45 yd (US); fluorocarbon 8 lb / 45 m (international)

B
130 g / 4.6 oz · 7.8 ratio · 28 in / 71 cm per turn · Fluorocarbon 6 or 8 lb / 45 m; Shimano Japan lists fluorocarbon only and no more than 45 m

A · FEEL
A purpose-built shallow BFS spool with quick 32-inch pickup, not just a small general-purpose baitcaster.
TRADEOFF
Less line capacity than compact 70s; 45 g heavier than the Aldebaran BFS.

B · FEEL
A markedly light 130 g BFS choice; the HG's 28-inch pickup is more measured than Curado XG's 32.
TRADEOFF
Shimano lists fluoro-only 6/8 lb to 45 m. Thin braid remains a YELLOW advanced use outside Shimano guidance in Jootti's Builder, never a maker-listed GREEN.

A · Shimano Curado BFS Casting Reel
Right-hand bass BFS with verified thin braid or a verified light-fluoro setup.

B · DAIWA 24 PX BF 70
Right-hand BFS shoppers who want Daiwa's spool/brake system and a maker-published thin J-Braid capacity.

A
175 g / 6.2 oz · 8.2 ratio · 32 in / 82 cm per turn · PowerPro 15 lb / 45 yd (US); fluorocarbon 8 lb / 45 m (international)

B
160 g · 8.6 ratio · 75 cm per turn · J-Braid 0.06 mm / 45 m; nylon 0.20 mm / 45 m; fluorocarbon capacity not published in cited table

A · FEEL
A purpose-built shallow BFS spool with quick 32-inch pickup, not just a small general-purpose baitcaster.
TRADEOFF
Less line capacity than compact 70s; 45 g heavier than the Aldebaran BFS.

B · FEEL
A light 160 g BFS platform built around Daiwa's 28 mm Air Spool, T-Wing and fixed-inductor magnetic control.
TRADEOFF
Only one available; Daiwa's exact table publishes braid and nylon capacities, not a fluorocarbon capacity. Do not convert 0.20 mm nylon into a fluoro recommendation.
