Megabass Destroyer P5 USA Spinning Rods

REVOLUTION BRINGS DESTRUCTIVE CHANGE. THIS DESTROYER IS KING OF THEM ALL.

IN 1995, YUKI ITO PROTOTYPED THE DESTROYER® OF TRADITIONAL BASS RODS, DRAWING UPON HIS HAND-CARVED ARMS TO UNLEASH AN UNRIVALED FUSION OF CRAFT AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION UPON THE JAPANESE BASS MARKET. EACH SUBSEQUENT GENERATION OF DESTROYER® REACHED BEYOND THE STANDARDS AND CONVENTIONS OF THEIR TIME TO ESTABLISH A NEW BENCHMARK. A QUARTER-CENTURY LATER, “PROJECT LIVING LEGEND” WAS ESTABLISHED TO ENSURE THAT EACH CYCLE OF DESTRUCTION AND CREATION THROUGH INNOVATION PRESERVED MEGABASS’ RICH DNA, BRINGING ANGLERS EVER-CLOSER TO THE IDEAL.

GUIDED BY THIS SPIRIT, THE LAIHA PROGRAM GAVE BIRTH TO A LIMITED CONCEPT ROD SERIES IN 2019, DEVELOPED TO TEST AND REFINE STANDARD-DESTROYING TECHNOLOGIES TO PUSH INNOVATION PAST PRESENT LIMITS. FROM THIS TIRELESS EFFORT, THE 5-D GRAPHITE SYSTEM WAS BORN. REPRESENTING A PARADIGM SHIFT IN THE BLANK CONSTRUCTION PROCESS, 5-D ENABLES A MORE PERFECT REALIZATION OF THE DESTROYER® THROUGH A NEW METHOD OF PATTERNING AND LAYERING, UNLOCKING UNTOLD POTENTIAL.

THUS, WITH EACH GENERATION, ALL CHANGE—ESPECIALLY DESTRUCTIVE—IS EMBRACED IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL PURSUIT OF THE ANGLING IDEAL. OUT OF THIS CYCLE, DESTROYER® RISES ANEW TO CHALLENGE ANGLERS TO NEW HEIGHTS.

F0st-63XS Kirisame Ultimate

An ultralight, max-sensitivity finesse stick built to fish tiny rigs on very light line with control and shock absorption when a big fish surges. Best when bites are subtle and presentations must be microscopic.

Best for: micro jigs, tiny plastics, midge/hair style presentations, trout/UL finesse.

F1st-66XS Kirisame

The “light finesse workhorse” of the P5 era—an extra-fast, STINGER TIP rod designed to absorb light bites, transmit bottom/line feel, and keep light-wire hooks pinned.

Best for: drop shot (light), neko/wacky finesse, small jigheads, pressured fish.

F2-66XS Whippet

A multi-purpose finesse spinning rod that’s notably light, quick-recovering, and torquey, built to cover a wide range of light rigs with clean casting accuracy and crisp control.

Best for: shaky head, small tubes, finesse jigs, ned-style heads, light plastics.

F3-611XS Landsat

A purpose-built finesse tool aimed at drop-shotting and neko rigging, with a blank designed to keep you “connected” for precise feel and bite detection.

Best for: drop shot, neko, wacky rigs, open-water finesse, smallmouth programs.

F1.5-72XS Baby Plugging

A finesse hardbait spinning rod tuned to reduce twist/reverberation so you can work small minnows and light cranks with better rhythm and retrieve feel—awesome for “light-bite” plugging.

Best for: small jerkbaits (ex: Vision 110 Jr class), small cranks, finesse spybaits, tiny topwaters.

F3.5-72XS Wind Buster

The “grab one and go” spinning rod for mixed finesse—balanced length/power for softbaits + smaller hardbaits, and especially useful when wind/headwinds make casting lighter stuff on casting gear tough.

Best for: wacky/neko, small swimbaits, small jerks, free rig, light jigs/texas in open water.

F5st-65XS Kirisame Kameyama Special

A rare combo of F5 power + finesse sensitivity, built for finesse in cover and deep structure—including nasty rock/timber/brush where you still need touch and control.

Best for: heavier drop shot/nose-hooking, finesse texas, tubes in rock, deep structure, “power-finesse” cover work.

(USA) F3.1/2-611XS Addermine

A finesse master with an aggressive taper that blends a light tip into a stronger backbone for intuitive control and surprising power—excellent when you want finesse feel but still steer fish.

Best for: neko/wacky, drop shot, small jigs, hovering rigs, smallmouth + clear-water finesse.

(USA) F2.1/2-76XS Flyssa

Designed around finesse swimbaits and hair jigs, with a smooth, sensitive load that shines in pressured deep-water situations (and is a killer “search finesse” rod).

Best for: hair jigs, 2.8–3.8” finesse swimbaits, small paddletails, Damiki/hover style heads.

(JDM) F2.1/2-77XS Zangetsu

A long-distance finesse launcher made to throw ultralight rigs (down to 1/16 oz) farther with accuracy and control—ideal when fish are spooky and distance matters.

Best for: 1/16–3/8 oz finesse jigs, hair jigs, small plastics, long-cast trout/bass finesse.
